I do know what you mean. I have lived with it all my life. My grandfather was a Pentecostal preacher and a good one - hell's fire and brimstone back in the 40's! (Yes, it was needed then LOL) I always admired him for I never heard him attack anyone personally, but he gave sin and satan HELL from the pulpit.

Now, I was much like him many years back, but was never comfortable with calling down fire LOL. I looked around inside the Word and inside my heart and I found something called love and concern tempered with compassion and understanding - and have tried like the dickens (if I may) to apply it.

Humility? Dunno. I just cannot fault others when I know the proverb is true that when we point a finger at someone, three fingers are pointing back at us. So, if asked what I believe and trust, I share. When "attacked" that I am this or that (and I am not), I answer.

But, we are all wrapped in flesh and we all make our mistakes and we all decide within ourselves whether to accept or reject Christ - and whether or not to reject one another.

I CHOOSE to accept both.
