2. The "fix" will be in soon enough...
Guaranteed that Cheney resigns mid-term , maybe even next year "for health reasons"...allowing Frist ( the Golden One) to gain 2-3 years as VP before running as Prez.

...time for some deep probing of Frist connections (Hmm..some rich veins in that Healthcare scamming company his family owns)

4. They won't
The Republican Party will be just about gone in 2008 after the revelations of massive voting fraud, involvement in international financial manipulation and complicity in the 9-11 attacks comes to light. OPEC switching from the Dollar to the Euro in 2007 won't help any, either.

In 2012, the Conservative Party will field its first Presidential slate (McCain and Pataki) and a selection of legislators, bringing the count in the Senate to 75 Democrats, 20 Conservatives, 3 Greens and 2 Republicans, and a similar mix for the House.

8. It won't matter, because the
Republicans plan to: first, cut the legs off of the judicial branch of the government: then, right before Bush leaves office the Republicans will diminish the executive branch (see the Texas GOP party platform, 2004)leaving only a strong legislative branch of government--which, as we all know is for sale.

10. McCain, Giuliani, or Jeb
Edited on Sat Nov-06-04 03:39 AM by Nightowl_2004
McCain would be the worst (for us) He's very popular to the middle/independent voters and even too moderate democrats. Hell, My sister who attends Berkley, Loves it here on DU (Lurks, No posting, Maybe she'll see this) Hated Bush and put in a lot of work for the Kerry campaign who says she'd consider voting McCain!

12. Jeb.
The reports are his reluctance to run were greatly exaggerated, especially now this his brother is king for another eight years (unless we put a stop it by exposing BBV). You know Jeb is chomping at the bit for his reign.

If not Jeb, I can actually see Cheney running with Jeb as his running mate. Health be damned, I think Cheney has a thirst for the title.
