any black magnets/ribbons/protest bracelets being sold somewhere yet? |
|
I thought there was some discussion on DU about protest bracelets like the Lance Armstrong ones but I can't find the thread. Any other website selling anyting yet? I would buy one today and send the link to all my friends and family...

I would vote for black
simple, maybe just the date 11/2/04
I'm just a poor grad student- if I had the funds I would order these and sell them myself online. Anyone want to venture to do this?

6. a simple car magnet is available now |
|
get one (or accidently "find" one in a parking lot) of those hideous "God bless America" magnetic ribbons. Paint it black, plain black, and slap it on your car.

7. Good God, people! MAKE YOURSELF ONE |
|
(1)get your sewing kit out (you do have one, don't you?) (2) look and see if you have black elastic and black thread and a needle(or yellow etc) (3) if not, go to store (not a * supporting one) or flea market and buy it. (4) sew the bracelet and/or armband. Be creative. (note, if you want to use felt, buy some velcro to fasten it with) If you have a rag box, you may not even have to buy these things. You can find old elastic on old clothes and even if its not the right color you can take a marking pen and blot it!
I'm sorry to be slightly sarcastic, but everywhere today I see helpless posts asking who is selling bracelets and armbands! ARGH! make yourself one! Have the kids help, even! make it a family project.

9. I'm all for making one myself- but I do like the strong statement |
|
of those Lance Armstrong ones- and that's what I am thinking here. Especially since the silicon ones are like .29 cents each.
But in the meantime- I'll buy some black ribbon.
:)
