Question for PC gamers out there..!!! |
|
There's a game that's been advertised on TV lately. The gist of it is that you are an adventurer and make choices as to what actions you take in the game. Depending on these choices (good or bad), you begin to take on the appearance of a either a hero or villian (sp?).
I can't think of the name of this game -- anyone know??
And, does anyone know if the game is any fun?

for the XBox.
I was all enthused about it until I found out some of the features that were heavily touted during development didn't make it into the final. The quests are, apparently, fairly linear- but then, I haven't played it because I don't have a Xbox; Fable was why I was going to get one.
I know someone who was really looking forward to it and has played it, and he says it's fun, and some of the elements in the game (character advancements, for example) are done in a unique way. AND- it's just pretty to look at :)
If you have a PS2, check out Kingdom Hearts; that's a lot of fun too- even though it came out some time ago. Sort of a kid's game, but one of the strongest games (in a lot of areas) that I've seen in a long time.
And if you have a powerful PC, take a looks at The Sims2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, Doom3 (adults only, please; that one's not for kids at all), and on the 16th of this month, Half-Life 2 (possibly the most anticipated PC game of all time- PC Gamer (US edition) gave it a 98%, the highest score in the mag's history).

4. What system(s) do you have? |
|
I've been a gamer for a good long time; grew up on Atari for entertainment, as a matter of fact. So if you have questions about a game or a system, ask away :)

..I like adventure games that aren't really repetitive or difficult to play. I like pirates..
I dunno. Just looking for something fun to do.

I mentioned it above; you get to ride the rides in the park now. It does take a pretty powerful system to run, though.
As for adventure games, the Baldur's Gate line is fun and challenging, and has enough complexity to keep you occupied for a while (if you can stand slogging through dungeons and forests and whatnot). The same is true for Neverwinter Nights, but not as open-ended. And, of course, there's always Evercrack- er, Everquest. :D
Or, you could download a N64 emulator for your PC and play Zelda or something. Emulation can be entertaining in itself, actually, and there's a lot of stuff out there in that arena, from Commodore 64 emulators, to Playstation and even PS2 (those are being developed right now).
A playstation emulator would be a good way to play a Final Fantasy game on your PC. Yes, you can even use the Playstation CDs.
