Has anyone bought Railroad Tycoon 3 (PC Video Game)?

I loved RRT 2, but have read that the changes for RRT 3 are extensive. I was very much into the corporate finance, construction and acquisition phases of RRT2, less into the ops management side...

Anyone have input on the new game and whether they think i might like it?

1. I got it

It's fun. Really fun. You get to ride ALL the rides- including the coasters you build, from about any perspective you want. The park management hasn't really changed all that much, but the behavior of the peeps has improved quite a bit.

There are a whole bunch of new coaster types and track elements, so you never get bored, and there's also an unlimited-money sandbox park mode so you don't have to do a career if you don't want to. A full-featured coaster designer, with the ability to save your coasters, is also included.

Quite a lot of fun, but it does take a decent machine to get all the visuals out of it smoothly. Fortunately, you can decrease a lot of the visual elements' detail levels, and there are four levels of antialiasing, so it can look really pretty with everything maxed out. The whole game is done in 3D, unlike previous titles.

Good game. Go get the demo and if you like it, buy it :D
