Was Nebraska a red state?

An insurance company I know of is moving out of Minnesota (a blue state) to Nebraska.

That being said, it's a hell of a lot bluer than Nebraska.

but yes, Nebraska is funny, it elects democrats to governor often, and sometimes democratic senators but its always a republican state in general elections mostly. Kerrey, Exon, current senator Nelson examples of dems who were elected governor and became senator. All these guys were way more conservative than national democrats too.
