Next time, can we get someone better than 'P. Diddy' to GOTV? |

2. Small mindedness like that is what is wrong |
|
He did a good job, worked really hard, so what is wrong with that?

4. Regardless of how you feel about P-Diddy |
|
I thought what he was trying to do was very good. As well as what Russell Simmons tried to do to get more young, "minority" voters out there.
At least P-Diddy stood up for the cause.

He could have just joined forces with " Rock The Vote " . I think he really wanted to get the youth out to vote , don't get me wrong .

watch TV that much, and certainly have not watched MTV for 15 years, but i had a really hard time deciding what side he was on. It seemed like he was doing the gotv for the other side.

9. Technically, he was non-partisan. |
|
As is rock the vote. If he appeals to young voters, than statistically, he was on out side.

8. i thought he did a good job |
|
I've posted it elsewhere and maybe I'm being a tad humorless but we had black students stand on line 8 hours at Dillard and Xavier Universities in New Orleans to vote. In a "red" state. P. Diddy did his part, the young African-Americans did their part. Now we need to do our part to make sure they have enough voting machines in their district in future.

11. He's enormously influential to young people. |
|
They all know who he is, for example.
If you're saying he didn't get enough people, I really think you'd be hard pressed to find another figure as well known and respected as he is among young people.

12. Well, "Vote or Die" was an unconvincing slogan |
|
A little too hyperbolic at first blush to be effective. "Vote or I'll Cap You Like I Capped Biggie", on the other hand, now that would've lit a fire under people.
