Batten Down the Hatches! What are NON-NC DU'ers hearing from Weather? |
What are your local East Coast Stations saying about landfall for Isabel? We here in NC are obsessed with our problem.....because we've had so many hurricanes we are like "abuse victims" wondering what NEXT? ] But, what about all of you "above NC" are you hearing stuff we aren't from your weather sources?

1. In VA...heard this morning...pray it does not come in from the west |
because that creates the worst flooding inland from the chesapeake bay and all the tidal waters? Seems its comming in from the west...the worst possible scenerio. Hope it moves through during low tide...but what are those chances? Batten down for sure! :scared:

2. Ohio is going to get hit by Isabel on Sunday. |
...of course, not like N.C. is likely to get hit. They're calling for 35-40 mph winds here, though.

4. just did a quick check for te Norfolk area |
both Thursday and Friday is calling for rain and wind (weather.com--no specifics yet) If Isabel comes in fro the west, there'll be some flooding for sure, I remeber wht happened to Suffolk the last time :( My immediate neighorhood--not low laying, thnakfully. If the storm slows down , perhaps evacuatng won't be needed, especially if the brunt of the storm doesn't arrive until Friday. So I'll keep my cool and keep watching the weather.com updates--these locall tv yahoos panic over a single snowlfake :eyes:
