And I have a huge marketing presentation to make on Monday and a bunch of work to get done for that before then, and my body just chose this time to start dying.
Last night I was under 6 blankets and still shaking with chills, felt like I was freezing to death, but had a bad fever! Then I couldn't stop puking my guts out. :puke:

My son has viral pneumonia, but he is just about over it.
In which state are you? Is it rampant there? Did you usually get the flu shot before this year?
Hugs and hot chicken soup to you.

5. All the vit C you can keep down, all the liquids you can |
|
keep down as well. Broth, flax crackers, and cantalope/bananas (whatever works). Curl up and sweat as much as possible.
I've never had it but hubby has. It sucks.

I helped take care of a guy with the flu a while back - his wife was taking care of sick kids - I had to put fresh sheets on the bed several times over a few days, the poor thang.

9. Vomiting?? Doesn't sound like influenza, that is not a gastric problem |

sounds more like food poisoning, call your doctor
from WebMD
The symptoms of influenza appear suddenly and often include:
Fever of 100 °F(37.8 °C) to 104 °F(40 °C), which can reach 106 °F(41.1 °C) when symptoms first develop. Fever is usually continuous, but it may come and go. Fever may be lower in older adults than in children and younger adults. Shaking chills. Body aches and muscle pain (often severe), commonly in the back, arms, or legs. Headache. Pain when you move your eyes. Fatigue, a general feeling of sickness (malaise), and loss of appetite. A dry cough, runny nose, and dry or sore throat. You may not notice these during the first few days of the illness when other symptoms are more severe. As fever goes away, these symptoms usually become more evident. When fever is high, other symptoms usually are more severe

14. Last time I had food poisoning, I felt like I was gonna freeze to death. |
|
This despite being huddled under tons of blankets.
Then I'd have to leave the warmth of the blankets every half hour to puke.
Not a fun experience at all.
