I thought I'd turn the tables.

June Lockhart, mom on the Lassie TV show and also on Lost in Space and Petticoat Junction. A while back Larry King interviewed her (I guess it was around 1990 or so). Keep in mind this is to the best of my recollection.

In a nutshell she received an award for something she did in the 1950s. President Eisenhower presented it to her. She said that she was very happy because she was a huge supporter of Ike and was a Republican to boot. After Ikes presidency her discontent with the GOP started to grow. I think it was during Watergate that she quit the GOP in disgust, and on Larry King she didn't kave kind words to Larry about the current state of the GOP (1990ish).

I like to be a fly on the wall when she expresses her thoughts about Boy George. I can't possibly think she is impressed with him or his handlers.

I thought he was a conservative Republican, but now I hear that he is just "Sonny Bono Lite".

4. Johnny Cash
I didn't know until a few years ago what his political views were. I think it was soon after I moved to Texas from West Virginia. WV's country scene (and that of other places I lived in the Mid-Atlantic since high school) was basically split between current Nashville tripe and old bluegrass, so Cash wasn't the omnipresent radio voice that he is here on the alternative and college stations.
