So who saw the "Revenge of the Sith" trailer over the weekend? |
|
They were running it before showings of "The Incredibles" (which was great, btw). I know the acting will suck and the story will make little sense to the average viewer, but I have one word for the haters:
WOOKIEES!!!!!!

1. I'm going to see it this afternoon! |
|
I saw the teaser online, so I'm really interested in seeing the full trailer. I actually think that ROTS will be the best of the first 3, dark and sinister. Much like the political atmosphere these days! :D

From what I hear, it's extremely dark, and Lucas had a hard time keeping it within a PG rating.

5. From what I heard there are two versions the PG one |
|
and the PG-13 one. Someone here posted a link to site that had some spoilers a while ago.
Anyway, I'm wondering how Mace Windu is going to meet his end.

6. I'll say it again: Star Wars Fans are the Log Cabin Repubs of cinema |
|
Both are in a continual neck and neck race to see who can most handily grab the self loathing glutton for punishment title. How many ways and how many times can two groups continually get screwed over and yet still go back for more?

I hope you're joking. :grr:
on edit- you could also make the argument that they're like the Dems who think they're going to get a recount.

No shit. Lots of fantasy-land Dems around here, who cannot accept the reality that the jig is up, and OVER. No recount, not turnover of the results. OVER.

12. Whether there is a re-count or not isn't the point |
|
It's about knowing the truth and spreading it. The fraud that is going on has probably been going on for awhile. This is a big scandal and if the DU'ers and Bloggers can prove it this story will have legs its already getting some press and maybe we can put a stop to this shit. If we don't this fraud and voter suppression crap will continue and then democracy is doomed period.

14. Why would I be joking? |
|
Yes, I'm half kidding. But the number of star wars fans I know who have gone to see each of the prequels, been dissapointed and hated them and vowed not to see the next ones, and who the minute the trailer comes out, get all atitter and come crawling back to Lucas.
How many ways are Star Wars fans going to let Lucas screw them over? Tampering with the originals by adding ridiculous CGI effects, and then releasing only those versions on DVD. Jar Jar Binks? Adding E.T.?
And yes, they are alos like the Dems who think they're going to get a recount. I won't argue with that. But my original comparison still stands.

Saw it online. Not too bad. Old footage for over the first half of it.
I and II stunk, so III should still be below the level of IV-VI.
I will watch it eventually. Maybe June after it quiets down.

13. It should be the best of the first three... |
|
...just because most of the jokers meet their end.
I hear the best part of the movie is Palpatine, and the actor who plays him (Ian McDirmird) gives the performance of his life. Since the character reminds me so much of the entire Bush Administration, the movie will surely be relevant.

But, I actually liked the second Star Wars movie
The trailer for the third one looks great. It might be even better.
Star Wars is always best when it explores its darkest themes
