1. Luca Bratzi sleeps with the fishes.
and

Micheal: Kate, my father is no different than any other business man, senator, or president (not exactly right)

Kate: Michael, Senators and Presidents don't have people killed.

Michael: And you're calling me naive ? (not exactly right)

3. Damn. I was hoping
this was an offer of delicious dessert foods as a trade-in on weapons. I rarely target shoot anymore - too 'spensive. And I have a pretty formidable sweet tooth...

4. It's Cannoli :)
Sorry being Italian I just had to correct that. :)

And it is my favorite line from the movie.

My favorite scene is where Sonny beats the SHIT out of his brother-in-law for beating up his sister. YEAH!!

6. "But I'm a superstitious man.
And if some unlucky accident should befall him - If he should get shot in the head by a police officer, or if he should hang himself in his jail cell - or if he's struck by a bolt of lightning, them I'm going to blame some of the people in this room, and that I do not forgive. But, that aside, let me say that I swear, on the souls of my grandchildren, that I will not be the one to break the peace we've made here today."

8. It's the greatest movie made in my life time.
And you stood Godfather to our baby -- you lousy cold-hearted bastard. Want to know how many men he had killed with Carlo? Read the papers -- read the papers!

9. Have to agree..

It is truly a masterpiece -- both I and II.

One of my favorite scenes is at Michael's son's christening. While Michael is denouncing Satan, his henchmen are wiping out people left and right all over the city.

SONNY
Hey, whataya gonna do, nice college boy, eh? Didn't want to get mixed up in the Family business, huh? Now you wanna gun down a police captain, why, because he slapped ya in the face a little bit? Hah? What do you think this is the Army, where you shoot'em a mile away? You've gotta get up close like this and bada-bing! you blow their brains all over your ice Ivy League suit.

11. I was thinking of reading the book..

Is it much different than the movie? I mean story line, etc.? I'm sure there are lots of scenes they left out.

12. Its been years.
But if memory serves you get allot of background on people. Coppola stayed faithful to the book.
I liked it.

16. Actually, they cut out a lot of stuff from the book
The singer and his life in Vegas and his friend who is drinking himself to death and his girlfriend with the unusually large vagina (I'm not making this up). It was extraneous stuff, and the movie is better for its removal from the story. The book would have been, too.
