It's damned impossible to find and apartment! |
|
I spent Saturday looking, or at least TRYING to look. Not one person I called was home except for one lady. She was renting a nice upper floor sweet right on Lake Okanagan, I could literally spit in the lake from the balcony. And it was nice digs. But, it was a bachelor, and a bit too small. Plus she's one of those "I don't like parties" people. Which brings up the problem, "What constitutes a party?" If I have four friends over for beers am I a party animal now? WHo knows? Too much bullshit to worry about. The search continues. I'm hoping that my an old friend of mine will accpet my idea to move to Penticton and move in with me. I'll find out shortly.

3. Good luck in your search! |

Is there a possibility you could house sit during the winter? Some of my friends do this. It might sound ludicrous, but some people in Akransas think it's too cold in January and go further south.

6. 4 friends over for beers is a party |
|
to people who advertise that they don't want partiers.
2 friends might be much if your place was the prime place to meet and greet.
"no parties" means they want as little impact as possible. A homebody like me.
good luck. Your home is just waiting for you to find it! Like puppies kind of.
I am jealous! that valley is gorgeous.

I did a search yes having 4 friends in is a party actually having more than one is a party since walking on the floors carries noise - having more than 2 feet can start to sound like tanks
it makes a big difference to those living below
best to find some where else or not have the friends in and only go to their place
