Finally, a "reality show" worth watching!
It's called "Red Dwarf".

It's British, ran from 1988-1999, and dealt with the topic of what would happen to a person if he were held in suspended animation for 3 million years in a spaceship that suffered a catastrophe.

Sounds just as real as the cow dung being produced and shoveled by the networks. But is far, far more entertaining.

The only true Reality series out there is Jerry Springer and maybe the Daily Show, unless you know of any other REAL Reality shows...

1. Those people on Survivor are in about as much danger
as I am eating dinner.

4. that's not the point
at no time are the people on Survivor in serious danger, and the show isn't built around that.

The "survival" element is surviving the game, which is actually quite challenging. Surviving the elements only adds complications to the game.

2. I LOVE Red Dwarf!
I used to watch it every Saturday night when I was in high school. It started to suck towards the end, but it would still be good for a laugh. Ahhhh, Red Dwarf. What TV should be.

3. Thought I heard they were filming a movie
and apparently I did...

Release Date: TBA 2004

Release Date Note: When this film sees release in the USA will ultimately depend upon the company that picks it up for distribution. The British producers had originally announced a possible April, 2002 release, and were then aiming for December 25th, 2002. 2004 now seems most likely.

Filming: Production is scheduled to start in late September, 2003 in Australia (originally expected to film at Shepperton Studios in London). Previously planned production start dates have been May, 2001, August, 2001, the summer of 2002 and March, 2003. Will September, 2003 finally see this movie actually getting made?
