Malcolm in the Middle maybe? I have never seen it before. It was hilarious. I haven't laughed out loud at a current show in a long, long time. It ended with Malcolm (I think) and his younger brother (who is very wise and very funny) tying used diapers to helium balloons, floating them over a crowd (a picnic, I think), and blasting the balloons by remote control, all the while philosophizing about life. You could only imagine the end result by the screams of the folks off-camera.

LOL! :D

4. Malcolm is (as the name implies) the middle kid
Reese is the older one and the youngest is Dewey. There's also Frances but he works at a Dude ranch and isn't home very often :)

5. My first time ever seeing it
The father trying to rescue his kid from the Army and getting signed up for the national guard was pretty damn funny. The whole show was pretty good, not even knowing the characters.
