Friend of Mine: "I'm a lesbian...and a Jesus freak"
I'll admit, it seems like such an incongruity, though I guess it's feasable. I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with it, just that its not something you run into every day.

2. Sure, ignore the Old Testament and the Book of Revelations
Jesus is about love. The rest is mind games to keep the peasants in line.

10. It's, um, Revelation. Singular. It's the singular revelation of John.
Not plural.

Sorry to disrupt the thread, but one my missions is to stamp out the meme that the book has an "s" at the end of the name.

Revelation.

5. Probably because the patriarchy wrote it.
They wouldn't exactly want to encourage it, but. . .

6. Probably because being a Lesbian didn't affect
women's ability to reproduce.

However, a man who has spent the day with his boyfriend is going to have a hard time getting his wife knocked up that evening; he also might pass along some bacteria that normally wouldn't be present.

The name of the game was to reproduce fast--build up the populations.

8. that verse all you straight cats use at your weddings is girl girl action!
"In treat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God.

That's Ruth to Naomi, after their hubbies are killed in battle.

in every other respect, she's basically fundy.
She supports:
-prayer in public schools
-no abortions (except for health of mother)
-christianity is only true religion
-drinking a sin

9. I have a few lesbian friends who are ministers of word and sacrament
in Christ's church.

So, no, it's not totally unfeasable.

13. Yes, I know a lesbian Lutheran minister.
She moved away and I haven't seen her in a long time...I wonder what she'd have to say about all this Bush* stuff going on.
