So I went to the bookstore, |
|
there's a guy I find extremely attractive. And I'd be surprised if he WASN'T gay.
Now I may not be his type, but should I try asking him out? And if so, how?
Thx!

I never know how to ask....can you ask a co-worker to get a feel(no pun intended) for the situation?

Just walk up to him and say, "Hi! Would you like to go for coffee?"
Give your best smile too. :)

You can offer to buy him a coffee on his break and then ask him out as you both chat.

So that you don't forget to give him it. Good Luck!
PS Get your ass back to the store immedialty because retail has a high turnover rate. If he quits you will be kicking yourself the rest of your life for not asking him out before he left.

Ask him out, nothing to lose.
You never know how much someone might appreciate it.
Better to take the risk & get a sting than to not take the risk at all.
As for HOW... your guess is as good as mine... just be you... put yourself at the point of no return. Don't wimp out.
It'll take some balls, but I'm sure you have those :7

10. I'd ask a co-worker... |
|
You can ask "Do you know if Mr. X is seeing anyone?" They'll likely know if he has a girlfriend or boyfriend. If they say "No, I don't think so" then ask "would it be OK if I asked him out?" which will let the coworker tell you if he's straight, or if it's against policy or whatever.
You don't want to risk asking him out unless you're sure he's not straight... could lead to an ugly incident.
Either that, or just flirt like hell and see if he responds... ask him if he's ever been to your local gay club or if he likes showtunes or whatever...

11. Uh... start a conversation about the gay marriage controversy? |
|
More than likely you'll get his orientation from his responses.
