My dogs make me laugh so hard I'm crying....
They want out. So, I let them out the back door. They screech to a halt; slamming into each other (glad they're almost the same size); trying to turn around and all 8 legs are getting tangled. Back in the house.

It's been raining, windy and cold all day. This is Las Vegas. My dogs do NOT like wet, thankyouverymuch. They are also house dogs.

So, since it's wet outside I open the door to the (attached) garage so they can go out there. They run out. Then run back in. It's too cold. Yes, my dogs are wussy.

Then they go sit by the front door and look at me like, "here, over here mom, we haven't tried this door yet."

So, you think when I told them it's wet out front, too, they understood?!

1. Mine looks at me, as if to ask...
"Why can't you make it STOP, dad?"

:P

5. I had a cat who did that
I kept a window open so he could come and go. Whenever it rained, he'd jump in the window, complaining like anything. Then he'd run over to the door (along the same wall, and about 6 feet away) and DEMAND to be let out. I guess he figured "door world" was dryer than "window world". So I'd open the door, he'd look out, see the rain, and give me a really dirty look. He was funny.

7. LOL, I know *that* look.
It's sort of, "how dare you do that to me?" or is the pitiful "how could you?" look?

6. My Little Prince Can't Stand to Get His Paws Wet Either
When it's raining, he just stands at the open door with this look on his face as if to say "You go outside Mom"

9. I've been known
to carry my little fur kids to the far corner of the back yard in the rain and then put them down. Usually they will stop just long enough to do their business before beating me back to the door. I'm not particularly happy with the arrangement but I've decided it is better than the alternatives.

10. Wow, wow, yours have you trained even better than mine have
me trained. Well, at least on this issue. I'm a wuss when it comes to wind and rain, too.

13. Don't Be So Sure
I attribute it to the effect of having wet feet while hearing running water when you really need to go. My sternest "potty outside" command - which is well understood - is not always successful, unfortunately.

15. Rain is the worst
but my doggies *love* the snow.

One of my doggies is a juvenile renal failue dog and he drinks more water and pees more than is typical. I'm trying to train the doggies to use doggie litter. So far they would rather chew on it than pee on it. Hey, at least they are not doing both. Right?

16. LOL - Yeah; how is the litter working out as a whole?
I've thought of trying that before.

I actually think I might use a big tub of dirt, though. Of course the entire floor will have to be covered with tarp. My two enjoy digging also.

17. Not Much Success
Partly because we just started and partly becauseI have not been as consistent as I need to be.

The pellets are scented to absorb the odor and it really has whetted their curiosity. They are both pretty good about using the same "spot" outside so I am hopeful that this will be successful after the new wears off. But I am thinking of using something besides or something else mixed with the dog litter.

21. Sure
Since I found this place I'm here way to much as well. It's a far better alternative than some of the special house projects I have awaiting my motivation.

11. A friend of mine has a greyhound called Muffin
They live near Chicago and you know what nasty weather they can get. She went to a greyhound get together today. She bought Muffin a raincoat. Couldn't find doggy pajamas since the vendor was all out. No boots, either. Then there were games for the dogs. They played "Bobbing for Frankfurters".

Just the description of all this had me laughing out loud. Especially about the big, male g/h who was gangway-for-wieners despite the water.
