My Big Obnoxious Boss - just watched it! Hilarious!! |
|
Now this is a reality TV show I can get into!
"Get the hell out of my office!"
This should turn out to be quite a hoot of a TV show.

1. ehhh I have problems with how they treat them.. |
|
All of these guys are Ivy league educated, and although they are probably asshats, the show seems to me to be mocking the well educated...

2. Being Ivy league doesn't mean you're educated |
|
:-)
And some of the them sure proved it tonight.
So what's wrong with mocking the well educated, anyway?

It just seems to me that it's exploiting this natural hatred/fear of those that are intelligent (not saying that by going to an Ivy league school you ARE- W is an example of this) deserve to be mocked. That's all I'm sayin'.

5. Wow. I didn't see that at all - the hatred/fear of the intelligent part |
|
It didn't feel at all to me it was distinctively anti-intelligence.
I think what they're doing is setting up a good lesson of what human greed and expectation to do to people, and how far they will go along with something implausible and bizarre - even something that might be against their ethical or moral standards - if they feel there is a reward at the end.
I found it to be an interesting sociological experiment.
And I look forward to seeing how the experiment continues. The previews for next week show that the boss guy becomes even more bizarre and out of it.

14. Sure, if you misread it, it might sound like that. |
|
If it only "seemed like" that was my position, then perhaps it's better first to clarify than to begin with judgment.

I hate these reality shows. People talk about how it's voluntary to go on them, and that they show greedy people that deserve to be exposed. that may all be true, but I also think that so many of these shows has the effect of saying that the greed and stupidity is normal, and not something to be resisted.

I HATE reality shows that humiliate people, even if the people being humiliated are participating with full knowledge that they'll be humiliated . . . never mind those that use unsuspecting victims . . .
I do, however, enjoy the rare reality show that actually uplifts people, does something nice for them . . . the one that I really enjoy in ABC's Home Makeover show where they really make a difference in the lives of deserving families . . . tonight's show had to be one of the best reality episodes ever . . .

6. It's Great! Much bettter than the Trump show |
|
I think it's great to watch these greedy idiots whore themselves on national T.V. They choose to do it -- just like the idiots that go on Jerry Springer. They deserve any and all humiliation which results.

That boss reminds me of Bush a lot. Seriously! Look at his face and notice how he bobs his head when he talks and do a stupid ass smirk. I think he must have played a Bush impersonator somewhere!

The identity of the "real" boss is too obvious (I think).
