The northern lights were out tonight |
|
As far south as here in northern Illinois (Winnebago Co.). I woke my dad up to go see them. They were gorgeous.

3. Yep, big broad swath across the northern sky here in Jefferson City, MO |
|
After reading a couple threads on this posted earlier, I headed out to the boonies (im already like 95% of the way there heh)to see if they were out.
Sure enough, this huge band of bluish-whitish arc'd completely across the sky. The neat thing was, inside the arc, was a dark and barely perceptible magenta hue. The bluish bands were spiking a bit and shimmering.
Never seen them before in Missouri. I'm confident they are visible all across the northern half of Missouri. No moon, no clouds, if you can, go out and catch a glimpse.
