We are in cubes, all with phones. Why in the hell are they calling the cell phone???

Some workplaces now record what you say on the phone. I thought it was paranoia in my cubicle days until it happened at the last place I worked. One of the leads of a department let that little cat out of the windowed corner office.

Between hard-wired phones, cell phones, BlackBerries and pagers, it's enough to drive me nuts. I keep my cell phone turned off unless I am using it and don't have a BlackBerry or a pager.

Also, when talking on those cell phones or regular phones, realize that everyone around you can hear everything you say. Some days it's mildly entertaining, but really I'd rather not here it. :-)
