Minor Randi Rhodes gripe. |
|
I usually differ with the detractors who fault Randi for her stubbornness when she is wrong.
But she certainly can be stubborn when wrong.
The other day, she said with complete certainty that the "neo" in "neo-Con" meant "near" as in "nearly conservative".
Of course she was wrong. As most of us here know, "neo" means "new". I don't get why she would make a point of explaining the meaning of a word (or prefix) without actually looking it up.
I love Randi, but she sure can be quirky.

2. Yeah, sometimes her humor |
|
can really fall down. Which I don't fault her for since she's out there for 4 hours a day 5 days a week.
Occassionally she is *really* wrong, but it's far and few between. Whenever I catch her out on something, it's incredibly technical and she usually gets the gist of it anyway.
