1. I've tried watching it a few times |

and the more I do the more pissed off I get with it. I think it's supposed to maybe be the counterbalance to The Daily Show or something, but it does a terrible job.

3. It is the opposite of the Daily Show |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 01:22 AM by philosophie_en_rose
Stephen Colbert was on Tough Crowd (which was the reason that I stopped to look) and he couldn't cover his disgust with sarcasm.
Tough Crowd is the opposite of the Daily Show in every way - unfunny, poorly executed, zero depth, freeperish, sexist, etc. etc.
On Edit: Damn Comedy Central to hell for cancelling Chappelle's Show and renewing Tough Crowd. Even the Man Show is better than that. *shudder*

12. did you catch Lewis Black on it a while back? |
|
He had the same disgust. Rather hilarious, actually. In the beginning of the show, he let loose with a couple of brilliant observations, totally blew the hell out of everybody there. Spent the rest of the show kicked back, watching the other comics struggle desperately to come up with anything even remotely as good as he had just kicked out off the cuff.
It was funny, but sad.

5. Can't watch it.................. |
|
it's "Dennis Miller for Dummies". As soon as the Daily Show is over, the channel is turned immediately. As soon as I hear Quinn's voice the gag reflex starts in.

6. It's like actually WATCHING the "Morning Zoo Crew" |

from the radio. The worst show on Comedy Central---I say, bring back the fighting robots!! They were a lot more interesting than Colin Quinn and his lame opinions.

Just a pile of crap/all of the above. It's Politically Incorrect for stupid people. Tonight's show featured one of the regular guys (the dude who was on "Last Comic Standing") being extremely offensive to the black guy they had on. He was name calling and just generally being a jackass.

11. A show where comics get airtime and fight to have the cleverest line |
|
Most of the comics on this show are just trying to get their jokes in and get the most airtime. For the most part, and there are exceptions, I don't think that they care about much politically, they are just trying to survive in a cut-throat business.

13. I gave it a chance, but Quinn is just one more Irish bush-whore... |
|
I'm from Boston and of Irish ancestry, so the whole thing just embarasses me no end.
I wish Stewart would quit hawking it at the end of his show.
It is beneath him.

14. Every comment sounds like it comes straight from a stand-up routine, |
|
one-liners written in advance. Tendency to be quite misogynistic, even when there are ladies present.
Can't somebody let CQ fade peacefully into the background? It would be merciful for the poor guy, who actually believes he has talent.
