Edited on Mon Nov-08-04 03:59 PM by ldsjocktx
I am in no way a grammar queen but this does drive me crazy. You don't have to know any special rules. Just think about it. It is completely logical. Couldn't care less is the only way it makes sense. Thank you.

4. Well since you're already bitching, I'll just jump right in.
I know nobody probably even knows and even fewer care, but the pronunciation of 'forte' is actually 'fort', not 'for-tay'.

6. Ahhh ...
I seem to recall that "I could care less what you think" is an idiom. Common usage can win out. Language is alive and it changes with time.

"I could care less" said as IF you could not care any less might be an attempt at humor?

12. It's an idiom.
Really. Just keep saying it: It's an idiom. It's an idiom.

Yes, it began as a grammatical error among the uneducated. But now it's an idiom. An idiotic idiom.

If you want to be upset, be upset at WIFES and LIFES. I want to jump out of my skin screaming when I hear that.

25. lives vs lifes
if 30 people die, 30 lives were lost
if it took you 30 tries for mario to beat bowser, you used 30 lifes

19. Heck, skip the contraction entirely.
I could not care less.

Then, you can enunciate each word with emphasis Bill Shatner style.

I could...NOT...CARE...LESS!!!

Also: The proper response to "thank you" is "you're welcome", NOT "no problem". Dickheads.
