anyone see the pic of soldier NOT saluting Bush in the NYTimes Saturday?

Was this already mentioned here? The cover of Saturday's print edition of the Times had seive-brain strutting by the troops returning from Iraq, and everyone in the picture (except for one who also seemed to be giving Bush a glaring look) was saluting.
Was there a thread on this already? I thought it was pretty obvious in the picture. I don't know if there is a link either. :shrug:

16. It was the soldier lower down

I thought is was a young black woman. And this was Saturday morning when I had the print edition in front of me. I really scrutinized it and passed it among my wife and friends. I said: "Hey look at this- this girl is dissing Bush". After a little debate I was able to convince them all that she was in fact staring down Bush.
That's a glare.

They're actually two soldiers not saluting. There's another near the top who isn't rendering that particular honor to chimpy.

Can't say exactly why, gut reaction. Been awhile since I wore that uniform, but something in me says they're both women.

and I know that a lot of thsoe young men are SO young they can look like women from a distance. It's hard to tell, but, either way, I'm sure they will get dome grief over this if it was intentional.

third from the right top row....guy averting his eyes just over the oriental soldier in the foreground, and another just above HIM.

26. The guy averting his eyes above the asian gentleman

is a police officer in blue and generally is not required to salute Chimpy as I understand it.

With his head turned it's impossible to tell if his hand is raised or not, it may be raised but his head turned because of a distraction.

When saluting you often hold your hand in position regardless of head movement.
