3 against the Marlins starting tonight. Most meaningful series to hit the Vet since '93.

2. He has so far all year |
|
He's been everything we could have hoped he'd be. Cleveland's loss was definitely our gain.
Welcome to DU!

we sure hate being the bridesmaids...and this year was stink-o,and our poor Browns!!! Yikes, we are tough cookies in Cleveland. I hope the Phillies can make a good showing and get through this next important series.

5. I'm hoping for a sweep |
|
But I won't panic if they take 2/3. They basically need consistent hitting and pitching, things they haven't had all year. Seems they always do worse after the All Star break when management makes no moves.

7. They've had decent hitting and pitching |
|
but it seems like they've never been able to put both together. Good pitching in the first half, good hitting in the second. Well the Marlins have owned them lately, so we'll see this week how good a manager Bowa is. I'll be happy with 2 of 3 also, considering the Phils get the Reds at home this weekend, and the Marlins go to Atlanta. They should be able to pick up a game or two over the weekend.

8. They'll score a ton of runs in some games, and.. |
|
not many in others. They've lost a lot of 3-2 games. That's why I mentioned hitting, too.

Sorry, couldn't resist....
Florida has won eight straight against the Phillies, and nine of 13 this season. My prediction: Florida takes 2 of 3.

14. The Marlins have got a shot |
|
I've always admired their play in recent years. Their payroll is significantly lower than most teams in the league and they're still in the wildcard hunt.
I sincerely hope they at least win 2 out of 3 against the Phillies.
