Princess Stephanie of Monaco marries Portuguese circus acrobat
PARIS -- Princess Stephanie of Monaco has married her boyfriend, a Portuguese circus acrobat, the royal palace said Tuesday.

The 38-year-old Stephanie and Adans Lopez Peres, whose age wasn't available, were married Friday in a private ceremony, palace spokesman Armand Deus said. German news reports said they married in Geneva, but Deus said he didn't know where the ceremony took place.

The princess -- one of three children of Prince Rainier and the late American actress Grace Kelly -- is closely followed in the tabloids for her tumultuous love life.

Poor thing, she's had a rough time.

6. Seems you need to be a Bodyguard or Circus Performer to attract Stephanie
Edited on Tue Sep-16-03 02:41 PM by LynneSin
She's had 3 children to 2 different bodyguards, one of which was her former husband. And from the article it seems the acrobat is the 3rd Circus Performer she's dated:

Stephanie's third child, Camille, is the daughter of another bodyguard, Jean-Raymond Gottlieb. Before falling for her new love, Stephanie also reportedly dated a Swiss circus director and elephant trainer, Franco Knie.

So if you're a bodyguard working for the circus you could be the soulmate of Princess Stephanie.

On a lighter note I wish the both of them well!

10. But when's Albert getting married?
I heard years ago that if Ranier dies before Albert has a son, Monaco will revert back to France. Any Monagasques who can confirm this?

12. I think that rule was changed in the past couple of years
to allow Caroline's kids (her oldest is a boy aged about 20) to inherit the title. Don't know why Albert has never married.
