It's my anniversary today |
|
My husband and I have been married three years. We are still going strong. We love each other very much. Marriage is better than what I imagined when I was younger. I am glad to have someone who I am very close to and know will always be there for me. WE are still very much in love and in lust with each other.

8. Be open and honest with each other |
|
I guess that is one of the strengths of our marriage. I know couples that have issues with one another but seem to think that the problem will go away if they don't talk about it. There are many misunderstandings and fears about the relationship that way. We also have a pretty good dynamic cheering the other one up when needed. We always tell each other that we love another and he tells me that I am beautiful. These things have helped our marriage and would help many relationships.

I hope you're planning on a no-holds-barred celebration and I hope that, for his sake, he at least brought you flowers, lol!
Stories like yours give this never-married single mom surrounded by single men who are freepers, RW wingnuts, or fundie nutballs, continued hope that the same thing will happen to me one day, too. Congratulations again, and keep up the good work of maintaining your relationship!

My fourth is coming up next week. Marriange can be a great thing such an amazing thing.
By the way, which year was the most difficult for you? For us it was the first. We had a lot of learning to do. Just wondering if others feel the same way.
Again, happy anniversary and I wish you many more.

5. I've heard variations on that, that |
|
the first year is the best or the worst. I guess it depends on the couple, and how well they knew each other before marriage. Given that I've never been married, I'm probably not qualified to make a judgment on that, lol!

I first year for us was the hardest but they have been getting better ever since. I think it had to do with us both being very strong willed individuals. We had to learn to give a little.

11. The secret to a lasting marriage. |

compromise compromise compromise
When ever Mrs. t. and I disagree about something we list our pros and cons about the situation, discuss them honestly and openly, and then we reach a compromise and do it her way. ;-)
