You gotta tell us what Tahiti is really like when you get back. Oh yeah, and the book.

3. It's a compendium of prior articles |
|
So if you've been a loyal NYT Krugman reader you probably could skip except for the introduction. He also grouped the articles into logical groupings rather than chronological.
It's one of those books that I can't read before I go to bed since I can so frickin mad - How Bush took this great thing Clinton gave him and destroyed it is truly amazing. Americans have truly been duped.

4. I have read all of Krugman's columns |
|
but I bought it anyway for two reasons. First to have a nice collection for reference purposes, and second to support financially one of the few truth tellers out there in the mainstream media.

5. No, but Krugman kicked some serious butt on Bill Maher's Real Time |
|
It was him, Jesse Ventura and Betsy Hart. Who the hell is Betsy Hart other than a red-headed shrill for Fox News. I thought Klugman, who looked like a real nerd next to funky looking Betsy and Ass-Kicking Jesse but it seemed that Jesse and Paul made mince meat of this neo-con idiot. Paul was getting the best response from the Audience. For that reason alone I'll probably buy his book!

8. I thought Jesse V came across as a right-winger |
|
as well....he seemed to regurgitate RW lies about taxes and price controls on farmers. Paul so much wanted to set right the misinformation that Jesse V was spouting about the government setting the highest price a farmer can charge for a given crop but Bill Maher really didn't give him the opportunity.
I am also way tired of Bill Maher saying Dems and others need to get over the Y2K election....no way..it was a Supreme Court orchestrated coup and we need to remember that.

9. Jesse is just a blowhard.. |
|
He has always "spoken his mind", but then some of his ideas are just plain NUTS !!
He is probably closer to libertarian in his personal philosophy..
