Fire Destroys UK's National Motorcycle Museum
A sad, sad day in the history of motorcycling.......

"Fire has destroyed most of the National Motorcycle Museum near Birmingham.

About 650 vintage machines worth between £7m and £9m have been ruined.

Scores of bikes were saved by museum staff and delegates at a business conference on the site.

The museum, at Bickenhill near Birmingham International Airport, was home to more than 900 vintage machines - many of them unique - tracing the history of the British motorcycle industry. "

I did manage to visit this place many years ago, but I was too young to really appreciate it.......Such a shame to see all those classic bikes destroyed......Norton, BSA, Triumph and names that have past into obscurity over the years.

1. Terrible news!
How sad to see so much history destroyed like that, but at least they were able to save some of the bikes.
