I am the son and the heir Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar I am the son and heir Of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth How dare you say I go about things the wrong way I am human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does

There’s a club if you’d like to go you Could meet somebody who really loves you So you go, and you stand on your own and You leave on your own and you go home, And you cry and you want to die.
When you say it’s gonna happen now, When exactly do you mean? see I’ve already Waited too long and all my hope is gone
You shut your mouth How dare you say I go about things the wrong way I am human and I need to be loved Just like everybody else does

Always have, always will. It's held up very well over the years, as had most of their music. I was just listening to "Panic" the other day and thinking what a great song it was.

2. The great thing about that song |
|
Is that Marr is basically using the basic Bo Diddley/"Born to Hand Jive" percussive pattern but you can't really tell because of the tons and tons of reverb and exessive tremelo.

4. You mean there are others out there like ME? |
|
I listen to my Smiths furtively. I am ELATED, THRILLED, ECSTATIC, to find there are others like me out there.
I still have a gigantic Smiths promo poster for the "Sheila Take a Bow" single that a friend pulled from the dumpster behind Zia Records in Tempe, AZ in 1987. I've considered selling it on eBay, but I can't bear to part with it. So it stays rolled up in a tube and gets chewed on by silverfish.
Oh, I am so relieved. I knew I'd love this place.

I especially like the use of the inferred homonym which might be heard as "I am the sun, and the air."
Love the new Moz CD as well. The World is Full of Crashing Bores.
