There's so many talented people here. :toast:
One suggestion, though. You should put your name or Web site discreetly in the corner of all your cartoons so when they run outside of your page, people can find you.

On my website, I try to keep the cartoon clean. But when I submit it to other sites, I usually try to I.D. my site. I just got lazy this time. Just my luck!

7. I hear what you're saying |

but what about if someone grabs and e-mails a cartoon or "borrows" it from your site without notifying you. If you include it on everything, it helps you establish a "brand" for yourself. Most of the other major cartoon sites do it that way. Just my two cents, FWIW.

I think from now on, I'll print and save a clean copy and upload one with my I.D. on it. Severl friends have suggested I put out a book of these--I've done well over 700 cartoons so far. But it's gets dicy as far as copywrite laws are concerned. Face it, I didn't take those photos in the first place, so technically, they're not my property. And I wouldn be surprised if they were imbedded with some kind of watermark or something. Thanks for the advice.

do a book because, like you said, you don't own the copyright for the photos. No reputable publisher would touch that project, unless, of course, they had a staff to track down and secure the copyrights.
Right now, you're just flying under the radar. Since you're not making money, the most they would likely do is to ask you to remove the pics from your site. Keep up the good work!

You always have some funny stuff on that site. I knew it was only a matter of time before you got some recognition.
