Watching "The Control Room"
Great movie.

Funny the speech clips of Bush they chose to show in this documentary.

Quotes like warning Iraqi soldiers prior to invasion "I was just following orders will be no excuse." (hmmm, funny that our troops are using that very excuse eh?).

Other quotes like talking about Lynch's companions that were captured "I would hope they are treated humanely, just as we are treating the people we capture humanely." (I'm paraphrasing here).

Some truly outrageous shit.

I highly recommend the movie though.

1. You should try to find the Terri Gross/Fresh Air interview..
with the military spokesman (I can't think of his name right now) in the film. He's left the Marines since the film was made, and he talks about how much trouble the film caused him and gives a lot of background on his former job. It's a really worthwhile interview. I was impressed by him in the film, but even more so after listening to what he had to say to Ms. Gross.

2. I'd love to have the Terri Gross interview link. We just watched
Control Room this week.

Gotta love Netflix!
We don't have t.v. and it's way cheaper than cable.

4. You might search the npr.org website.
Maybe older shows are available online. I'll look for it myself when I have some free time later.
