I'm a recent transplant too. At 36, I moved from CA to DC.

But let's work on you. The former disk jockey job screams out for a screenname of DJ (something).

Lots of screennames incorporate location and your preference seems to be for the MN identity, so you could include MN or some reference to lakes, Prince, Wellstone, Mondale, or ? (not sure what else MN is famous for).

Lots of folks also include their mom status (LawStudentMom, e.g.).

As an aspiring writer, you also might be interested to pick a reference to a favorite author/work (that's what I did)!
