I just got a call from Dr. DemoTex from London.
She has been over there for almost two weeks. "Bidness", as they say in Texas. Actually, pleasure and then a little "bidness". One of her professional associations decided to have their annual meeting in London.

Anyway, she saw Hamlet tonight at the theater. I am so bummed out! I could have gone. I love live Shakespeare done by great Shakespearean actors and actresses. We saw Stacy Keach do Macbeth at the Folger Theater in Washington, DC, about 10 years ago. We also saw Pat Carroll play Falstaff in 1991 at the Folger (the Bu$h folks think that is a beer. They also think that Bu$h is a beer.).

Dr. D will be coming home tomorrow. Yay! The pups and I miss her.

1. You coulda gone!
Non-rev. Such an adventure, that; you definitely have to like sitting around in airports (I once narrowly missed becoming a permanent resident of SEA-TAC). But still, you could have been in London watching Shakespeare...

2. I backed out last spring. Thought I might be back to work by now.
Dr. D took her old friend Becky, and used a few of her American Airlines miles to score two first class tickets (not Bidness Class). She has millions of miles on American. Good for them, though. It was a good girl trip. Becky came back on Wednesday, since Dr. D's bidness meeting started on Thursday.

4. It was better than you can imagine.
But then, so was Stacy Keach in Macbeth.

5. You mean the Pat Carroll who used to be a panelist on game shows
in the 1950s?

Or do they have a new one now?
