Especially Janis--she could tear your heart out. Gracie was more acid rock oriented. Gracie was acid; Janis was heroin.

shirley manson rocks harder than she does and she's hotter.
shirley manson doesn't rock in the general sense, just moreso than Love

Ok version still liked Creedance's better. Tina was a soul singer. Great Soul singer. Not rock. Have you ever listendd to much airplane?

14. those categories are completely arbitrary |

tina totally *crossed over*. her tone at times is much to raw for soul.
What difference does it make how much airplane I've listed to? I never said Grace didn't rock.

awesome...
Janis and Grace were blues and psychedelia. Not necessarily hard core rock.
Throwing Muses L7 Babes in Toyland Sleater Kinney Liz Phair (on occasion) Shirley Manson Ani DiFranco (also on occasion)

is not exactly a genre.
Liz Phair sucks. I think she was replaced with an alien clone. How the woman who produced Exile in Guyville can be capable of the dreck she produces now is astounding.
Sleater Kinney just like to act like boys.
When ani kicks it up, it's more like hard core folk.
I miss the Throwing Muses, but they were more like hard core remember-when-it-used-to be-alternative-and-not-this-indie-crap?
L7, they were more "hard core" in their image, but they weren't very talented
Babes in Toyland. Whatever happened to them?
Shirely Manson is hot.
