Does the clock in your dashboard indicate "AM/PM?"
Mine doesn't. It's like they assume that if you're in the car, and you can't tell whether it's AM or PM, maybe you should think twice about going for a drive. But I find that to be paternalistic and wrong. My car's clock is not the boss of me.

not going to buy a car just to check!

2. I don't have that problem...
...unless I'm roaring drunk. And then, dammit, I really need to know if it's day or night and I'd appreciate some help from the dashboard clock.

And all of you PCers out there, I only drive drunk when I'm not sober, so I don't want to hear about it.

9. but, see, what if
you lived in Alaska, and in addition to being roaring drunk, you had no idea what time of day it was because of the months of daylight/months of darkness thing? Do they put AM/PM thingies in cars bound for the Alaska market? Those people really oughta complain.

22. Yeah, but Alaska?
What are you gonna hit when you're drunk, a polar bear or something? Besides, I thought that's what the Northern lights were for.

12. Ah, yes.
The stealth continuation of the verboten orgy thread under the guise of an innocent car-clock thread. BRILLIANT! Oh, wait - it was MY idea... BRILLIANT!

And please, consider rephrasing, eh? Women with ticking clocks can only mean there's an imminent explosion of one sort of another coming up.

16. Oh sorry love. Need to re-phrase because clock has long stopped
in that regard. Do we need the defibrillator or are you okay without it? I was speaking metaphorically --- My love = my clock ticking....blah, blah, blah...

Damn, did we miss you! The foursome just wasn't the same without you! SPB complained the whole time you were gone. He kept telling me he could count to four. Of course, I didn't believe him, but come to find out, it may actually be true.

23. All I know is that my car's clock is correct 6 months of the year.
The standard time months. During the daylight-time months, I have to subtract an hour from my Subaru's clock in my small mind. No big deal. Easier than reprogramming the clock. IMHO.

31. They really ought to consider
abandoning the whole daylight savings scheme at this point. It serves no purpose anymore but to piss people off. And aggravate seasonal affective disorders. That must be it - the drug companies are forcing daylight savings on us to up their prozac profits in the fall. Where's Ralph Nader when you need him? Oh, nevermind.
