Totally miscast, but oh well! I'm not wild about Ron Howard directing either. ROman Polanski was all but signed & then dropped from the film. Too bad. Polanski would have given it what it needed.

apparently Mr. Howard felt otherwise.

I think that George Clooney would have made a much better Robert Langdon!! Tom Hanks is way to old, and not at all the face that I envisioned when I read this book

Hanks could be OK. I generally like him, but don't really see him as Langdon. Oh well. Viggo Mortenson would have been good, actually -- put him in a nice tweedy jacket and he'd be great.
