Why do republicans/conservatives always assume we are all France lovers
 France which I know is a beautiful country with a lot of history and a lot of neat things to do isn't on a list of countries I would "go back to", and I am not even French, I have Eastern European, Irish, and German heritage you fools, I have no French blood, and really would choose Canada or Ireland if I left the country, :eyes: weirods.

2. No idear.
I've never been to France. Never really been much into France, though I am sure it is beautiful.

It's just another one of their little crybaby fits. Just give them back their pacifiers and change their diapers and maybe they'll shut up their crying.

8. Because many of us are Francophiles, like moi!
I go out of my way to consume European products, especially from countries that opposed the war on Iraq.

9. They get one teensy fragment of an idea in their little heads
and it just keeps rattling and rolling around in there for a long time.

Why? Because there isn't anything else in their skulls to stop it, cushion it, or deflect it.

That's why rethugs harp endlessly about "tax cuts" and "moral values" and "liberals are traitors" and "flip-flopping" and so forth. I almost pity them because that's all they know.

13. I like French bread
that's about it.

I think the French can be a pain-in-the-ass, no doubt. But this crucifiction they've been undergoing is just ridiculous. They can be snobby and self-righteous, but so can we. So it is with any proud people.

18. ummmm...those French pastries!
When I visited Epcot Center at Disney World a few years ago the FRENCH PAVILION in the "World Showcase" was one of the best. Friendly hosts, wonderful pastries, and al-fresco live music were hallmarks. The atmoshere was so congenial it felt so good to just hang around there.
I'm wondering if it has suffered any discrimination or backlash from the Sean Hannity hate-monger crowd?

Is that some new breed, weird and a nimrod??? :)

I think these people are so filled with hate themselves that they can't believe anything else would work. They just create things to hate to justify their own sick souls.

19. Moi, j'aime bien la France, mais les freepers sont jaloux
d'un pays qui a beaucoup de culture et un certain savoire faire. :-)

Basically, it's just the anti-intellecturalism of the freeper mentality, the old "I don't hold much by book-larnin" attitude that leads to vices such as Republicanism and fundamentalism.

20. I totally disagree with the description of Paris, It is absolutely
beautiful and easy to navigate too. The metro is well laid out with clear designs of how to get around. There are continuous musical serenades and mimes hopping on the train to entertain. The Champs Elysee is magnifique. France is covered with flowers from top to bottom. It is upbeat, bubbling country that is friendly oo la la. Vive la France. I forgot their fields of sunflowers, their vintage wines and that exquisite sounding language.

21. Because we are
France, for a long time (centuries, even), has had a reputation for socially libertine ways, despite being a classically Catholic country.

So in the cons' minds, calling us "France Lovers" is really just another way of calling us "Liberals." :7

22. They're right about me, I love France and I'm not ashamed of it
France is a wonderful country and a great place to visit. It's pathetic that the freepers/fundies try to demonize the French just because they don't come running when bush crooks a finger.

23. I love French food and their history
The French Republic was founded on equality and the separation of church and state - those hit a very raw nerve with evilgenital fundamentalists.

27. It's just code
The people to make France jokes and jabs are too stupid to know that France is hardly the "loser" in most wars, historically. It's just code for military weakness, the opposite of which is about the only thing many people have left to take pride in.
