SON IS MISSING!!!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!

This is my first post. Please forgive me, I'm not sure I'm doing this right. I've never posted anything, anywhere, ever. Last week on the 11th, my husband and I were in Point Clear, Al on a golfing vacation. We received a call from our daughter-in-law that our youngest Son, (her husband) had left that morning and had not returned. They have two of our Grandchildren. Their two boys are, Cameron 11, and Connor 4. He had left to run some errands and said he would be right back. We don't even know where he went that day. We have not heard from him at all. Neither has any of his friends or other family members. His messages on his cell phone have been checked and saved or deleted. He had only a few dollars in his pocket and no clothes are missing. He had left his phone charger at home, so his cell phone has not been used since last Friday, the 12th. His messages are being checked by land line. T-Mobile has been wonderful to help us trace the towers to see where he had been calling from. All have been around our City of Birmingham. Yesterday, the 15th we got a call from the Police Dept. that someone had attempted to use his debit card at a very questionable area of our City, for an unusual amount. It was declined. They did not have much money in the account as it was right before payday. They are a very loving younger couple. The Pelham, Alabama Police Dept. Detective, is Richard Stricklin, ph. 205-620-6444. Our Son's name is Richard Haynes, 34, hgt. 6 ft, wgt 180. He is tanned and dark blonde hair. He was wearing grey dress pants grey taupe shirt. The Shelby County, Alabama Sheriff's Dept. phone is 205-669-4181. Chris Curry is the Sheriff. They have viewed one of the video tapes and couldn't make out the image. Why don't they get decent equipment or just forget it? The law enforcement is treating this as maybe foul play. This is breaking our hearts! It is hard for me to convey this agony we are feeling at this time. We just want to know he's alright! Please, if you are in our area, and see his 2001, white Ford Taurus, lic 58D437W. Alabama plates. Please call either of these numbers. He is very much loved by all who know him! There are many, many people praying for him. Not only in our Church, but all over the State. My Husband and I believe God has him in His Sight! He is our Father, and we can go to no other for the peace we have at this time. Richard has been gone for five days now! His wife and oldest son are so broken and so are we and his brother, and his family. He has simply disappeared. He is a lover of Alabama Football, is an ardent supporter and Coach and SEC Recruiter. I have been on this site for years now and I know you folks are all over the place. If anyone can find him, you guys can. God Bless us all, and God Bless and keep safe, our precious Son!

I will keep an eye on the tread at FR and see if he turns up. Could you maybe ask Skinner or Elad to pin this one for a while? I hope it is not nothing bad for this poor woman and her family. Damn.

12. Similar happened near us
A guy from small town in East Texas went out to 7-11 to get milk. Never came home. Within an hour his wife was frantically calling family and whole town was helping the sheriff looking for him. Son drove home immediately from hours away.

Turns out he was on his way to my town. A guy had killed someone, and was on the run. He needed to change cars to get away. The shopper asked him if he needed help, he carjacked him and had the guy drive him all across the state to his girlfriend's house in my town where he'd let the guy drive back home.

On trial, the guy admitted he felt real bad when he killed the guy but he knew too much to let him drive back home. He killed him, put him in the trunk and drove him to a stream near an oil well and dumped him. He felt bad again when he heard him moan when he dumped him in the stream, so he shot him again.

The family wanted to move the trial from my home county because our town has had a history of not giving the death penalty. The family had no need to worry as the jury came back with death almost immediately. The guy just gave a big interview for the local paper from prison saying how bad he feels that the guy died for no good reason.

This just finished a month or two ago.

I hope in this case it's just a runaway husband. Church tonight - I'll ask a prayer for the young man.

They usually turn up. Also, NNN0LHI, sometimes (often? - I don't know) these kinds of stories are pure fiction. Did you call the phone numbers in the freeper post to confirm? It's possible that you will reach a harried individual saying "Man, our phone's been ringing off the hook today - NO, that story has no merit". But, maybe not.

Regardless, a world-wide discussion board probably isn't the place to post a local missing persons case.

Or are missing persons still pretty low key unless it its about a pretty young blonde girl?

I did a google news search on "Richard Haynes" and didn't see anyting.

I was replying to those who were attacking me and separated it from those who were actually trying to help the freepshit.

Besides, if the original poster here wanted to "help out" he could have just put the photo and said something like "keep your eyes open for this missing person."

But no.....

It had to have the heading "help this freeper" and have the whole, overly-long, unformatted post from FreeRepugland.

And I may be a bit strong in expressing my views, but I am really fed up with the regime, with most Dems who will not fight back, and with those who think that we have to play nice.

Playing nice gets you killed.

34. Your views aren't strong nor rational, they are toxic .
Please explain in detail so I can see the thought process involved how helpng to locate a missing person is tantamount to JEWS aiding in their own demise. Please keep in mind that my relatives were those Jews and one of my aunts is one of the children of Shoah (i.e. Nazi medical experiments.) For you to use such an inflammatory example and as a result MINIMIZE those exterminations only discredits you and underscores the hatred you are coming from in posting this.

Now, that is disgusting (to quote Dookus).

And Dookus, if you think that the difference is just a matter of marking a piece of paper (or pressing a voting button) differently, you have a rose-colored view of politics as it exists now.

There is so much at stake. And rather than fighting amongst ourselves, we have to keep an eye on the real enemy. For if we do not hang together, ...

That members of your family are right wing. Every extended family has them. Try putting the shoe on the other foot and think about what you would feel if someone called your missing relative the enemy.

And as far as fighting against "ourselves", you aren't speaking of the people of DU. You're lack of interest shows us that you're not "one of us". Come back when you get some humanity.

Why fill his coffers?

"you think the exterminations that occurred are laughable?"

Nope. Not that extermination or any other.

It was you equating concern for another human being (that you inexplicably assume to be a drunken yahoo repuke/freepshit/enemy) to some kind of naive behavior that will get us all killed on the scale of the holocaust, that did it.

The fact is those kinds of horrors occur precisley when human beings jettison their ballast of empathy for others. That's how it all begins. I don't know anybody who considers empathy a suicidal tendency. :-)

" And rather than fighting amongst ourselves, "

No "fighting" occured until you attacked Don's empathy for another human being (" drunken yahoo repuke/freepshit/enemy ").

It was the woman's first post.

"This is my first post. I've never posted anything, anywhere, ever. "

She isn't even a poster there. What she is, obviously, is a frightened and desperate mother.

40. Jeezus Christ this makes me sick
And angry. Very angry. How utterly cold and heartless. This isn't about politics - it's about a missing person and someone's life.

Let me tell you a personal story from the opposite perspective. Five years ago I worked near Offutt AFB at a company that handled a lot of gov't contracts - point being military town and a LOT of freepers. I was the lone liberal in this shop with constant talk of politics. (Impeachment vitriol - UGH!) Just to simply survive I used to joke that I was their Affirmative Action Liberal/Democrat hire. Yeah, they were just as loud and bad at the office as they are on free republic. They had no use for me or my politics.

Now let me tell you something else that is very personal. In the height of all this political vitriol and disdain for my politics, my son was involved in an accident and died. These SAME politically hateful, vitriolic people PUT THEIR POLITICS ASIDE, and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM attended his visitation, took time off for his funeral, and to visit me in my home and offer their support. I will never forget their kindness. There was never any question in my mind or theirs that they would consider my politics at such a time.

This thread is not about a freeper family or a missing puke. It's about a missing loved one. A person.

Shame on you.

43. Because, as some people here have tried to point out...
this is a fellow human who is undoubtedly in big trouble, and he has a family who loves him and is terrified.

Our principles are not partisan-- they have to extend to the real world, and we can't just write off someone who is in trouble because he might have voted the "wrong" way. Do we ask the person with a heart attack for their political affiliation before starting CPR?

For myself, and I would hope most of us here, people in such trouble and pain have no politics or ideology.

Okay!! A lot is happening this morning. Richards phone has been turned on and a call was placed from his phone to a man in NJ. The man has been called and his son had moved to Atlanta six months ago. His son is 35 years old. They traced the tower and it appears that the phone is there. Oh my!!!!!!1 Yall please keep a look out for ANYTHING!!!!!!!
They have tried to call the phone itself and it rolls over to voice mail. Please know this is a significant break!

...

Richard's phone is in Atlanta! The tower it came from is there. The man with the phone called his Dad. We called his Dad and spoke with him.
