Holidays that lies or celebrates genocide.
New Year's Day - Nothing like celebrating another year of the same BS

Inauguration Day-ugg,we are waiting for this day over bush Or Kerry now.

Memorial day-memory of the Honored dead,And most people go on
picnics on this day? uck!

Independence Day-people usually blow off their hands with fireworks this day.

Columbus Day- Celebrates genocide,Columbus did not discover America also.

Thanksgiving Day-Pilgrims and Indians getting along and sharing things? nope, another celebration of genocide.

Christmas Day-lets see, lying to the children about Santa, its Jesus Birthday,(not really, his b-day is not known)while most just give gifts to each other, yet most can't afford
(too many points to mention)

Groundhog Day-A groundhog sees its own shadow (or w/e) don't get it.

Lincoln's Birthday-sure while he gave freedom to most blacks,he gave blankets full of smallpox to the Indians on purpose (thought i might mention that.)

St. Patrick's Day-lying to kids about leprechauns and telling the children that they are going to have bad luck if they don't wear green

I think thats pretty much it.

put in your comment on how you hate 1 of these holidays
put in your own holiday that your not sure about the history on.
or put in a holiday that i missed that lies.

3. I Like Holidays, What a downer!
Can anything just be plesant?
Sorry, but i wont feel guilty if someone in the past did something wrong.

Can't help if someone else is careless on July 4th,

Love thanksgiving (there was plenty of violence on both sides.

Love Christmas best (never believed in Santa that i remember, but see nothing wrong in letting kids enjoy the wonder/excitment of Santa and see nothing wong with a celebration of Christs birth (since we don't know the real day) etc.

My advice: lighten up.

Ready for the flames.:7

4. The only one that truly Bugs me is Columbus Day.
From what I've read over the years, He was a First Class Prick who would even fuck-over his own Mother if he had a chance.

I'm troubled by Columbus Day, but otherwise...I'm a holiday-lovin' girl.

11. This reminds me of the Nothing song by the Fuggs.
Monday nothing. Tuesday nothing. Wednesday and Thursday nothing. Friday for a change a little more nothing. Saturday and Sunday nothing.
