If you are at the grocery store at midnight
and you buy only the following:

4 packs of Pedialyte
3 packs of diapers
Laundry detergent

Is it appropriate for the check-out clerk to say, "Have a nice night?"

Not complaining about the check-out clerk, just my night.

:(

but that would be wrong.

My guess is that he/she was on auto-pilot. Maybe they didn't know the extenuating circumstances?

Take care. I hope things get better. :-)

on edit: I DO know plurals, YES I do...

6. It's entirely possible...
...that the clerk did not add those items up to their obvious conclusion.

Hope you and the little one have a better night.

7. Been there
done that, talked my way out of the speeding ticket.

This too, will pass. Mine survived, and is now a college freshman (a whole new set of parental worries ;-) )

Hope you are all better soon.
