Man Sues Firefighter For Stealing His Wife
<snip>

Hell hath no fury like a bitter, lawsuit-minded lover scorned.

When Lupe Cyl left her husband, Steven, for a firefighter down the street, he says it was a blow he never saw coming.

Months of anger, depression and thoughts of revenge, he admits, consumed him, until he finally thought of a way "to make them pay for what they did to me."

Cyl recently filed suit against Lee Bauman, claiming Bauman seduced Lupe Cyl, persuaded her to leave him and, in the end, destroyed his life. Claiming "great mental suffering and anguish," "devastation" and "suffering," his lawsuit seeks unspecified damages

3. My prediction: more lawsuits for injuries to marriage.
With the "mandate" (social & political) given to the 2d term of *, I believe to "preserve" marriage, we will see torts against individuals who are involved with the "destruction", "erosion," etc. to a marriage.

The term used years ago was "alienation of affection". This is analogous to the business version of a similar concept in contract law: tortious interference with a contract. In other words, there was a marriage contract. A competitor got to a party in the contract and persuaded that party to breach the existing contract and enter into a new contract with the the competitor. Therefore the contract, having a monetary value attached to it, is protected by law and the agrieved, injured party is entitled to compensation from the competitor.

What I'm waiting to see come to pass: the resurrection of "breach of promise" lawsuits wherein jilted fiances/fiancees sue when the wedding is called off.

5. Opening scene of "About Last Night" with Jim Belushi and Rob Lowe
Comes to mind.

I can't find the text but in it Belushi is telling Lowe's character about this "chick" he picked up and how she wanted him to call out military aircraft calls while they were intimate.

Red Dog ONE this is Red Dog Squadron....

Anyway they set something on fire and when the firemen come into the apartment basically Belushi's character loses her to a fireman..

MAN! Firemen get all the girls
