1. Don't show up.
That seemed to work for me.

The dog ate my homework doesn't.

Tell Teach that you have a bail hearing for your Mom.

5. When I Was a Sophomore In High School....
...the girls had the best excuse of all.

Any time a girl was sent down to the vice-principal's office for cutting class, all she had to do was say "I was in the girl's room - I'm having my period..." and the vice-principal would blush and quickly say "OK - fine - go back to class!!!"

I knew girls who had three of four periods a month....it always worked.

:-)

2. Uh, just don't go.
That's how it's done, right? Class is scheduled, but you don't go.

If you're looking for an excuse at this point in the semester, you're on your own.

service provider relationship. They aren't paying YOU to be there you are paying THEM.

That got me kicked out of a a-hole professor's office once.

6. Show up - get counted, then fake a nose-bleed and take off. Works great
because you can do it more than once. Become known as the kid who gets nose-bleeds. Usually no one actually wants you to show them your nose-bleed and if they do you can carry a pre-bloodied tissue as a prop.

3. Yes
We decided to cut class one morning and go out to breakfast. So a bunch of us jumped into cars and went to McD's. We never did go back to school that day.

It helps if the student parking lot is close by.

4. Say you have a job/internship interview.
Most professors are very understanding about this -- and won't question you.
