of thinning the herd.

Saw it coming with the no-liability fast-food legislation passed last year.

Eat 'em up! And yes, it sounds delicious.

9. It doesn't work.
Heart disease'll kill ya, but not before you've had a chance to have a whole bunch of kids and pass many copies of your fast-food-guzzling, non-nutritional-label-reading genes on to the next generation.

It will, I guess, prevent you from being a burden on the Social Security fund if you kick off from a heart attack at age 45.

13. You must be mistaken
No Freeper joint would put a woman on a mechanical bull in a commercial doing all sorts of sexual things with a cheese burger like Hardees does. So they must be all liberals.

23. Carl's Jr. ran some commercials
During the whole ant-France frenzy that pretty well placed them in the camp with those who would fan the flames of Euro-hate for the sake of luring in the 'freedom fries' crowd.

Haven't patronized them since.

Hell with 'em!

14. WOn't last - Cut in half feed two for less than price of one...
Bad fast food resturant strategy...

You want two people to come in an spend about 6 dollars each.

A family of three could split this burger and fries for the half the cost of each buying a smaller burger.

VEry dumb...

But they also have smaller bugers on the menu. I suspect that this is not the only burger that Hardee's will be offering.

33. I've been thinking about this damn burger all day.
They even had a blurb about it on NBC Nightly News - their fluff closer for the broadcast.

Anyway. What IS it with this country? Is no portion EVER big enough? When I go to a restaurant, I invariably get enough food for three meals. I don't WANT that much food. I don't want to eat myself into a greasy stupor. Yet portions keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger. I'd guess the average American has no idea what an actual portion size of any given food is these days. When you've got a bottomless bowl of pasta, who wants to stop at a half cup to a cup of pasta?

At the same time, the clothing industry has been ever so slowly making their sizes bigger but numbering them smaller in an attempt to fool people into thinking they haven't actually eaten too much. Ten years ago, I wore a size 4. Today, weighing in at approximately the same as I weighed ten years ago, I wear a size 0. Zero. It's insane! That's how much the sizes have changed. Today's size four might have been a size eight just a few years ago, and a ten when I was in high school. I bought a pair of vintage (circa mid-70s) jeans a while back that were marked size 11. The waist was 25 inches. That'd be a 0 or a 2 now.

So. Portions get bigger and bigger. People lose all sense of reality about what a portion size should actually be. And it doesn't affect their clothing size - because the clothes keep getting bigger, and the manufacturers are trying to fool us into thinking they're not.

There should never be a size 0. It makes no sense. Some retailers are now carrying 00.

This is just an odd rant, I guess. Maybe I need caffeine or sleep or something. But this super-size mentality escapes me.
