LA duers - help me with restaurant recommendations!
My husband and I are coming to LA for the weekend. I haven't lived in LA since 1989, and have hardly been there since. Does anyone know any good places to eat? We will be staying in Hollywood and really love Thai and Indian, but are open to anything.

Thanks!

My favorite place. You have to have the Blood Orange Margaritas! We'll be there Saturday for brunch.

3. Bombay Palace on Wilshire
Its not authentic to L.A. (think also in London, New York Chicago) but is supposed to be fantastic.

There is a great Thai place on Third street, but it has the word Thai in it*** Cant remember the name. Its near Robertson (intersection). Great barbeque thai. Its a wonderful little restaurant. Lots of great places in that area.

4. Zen Grill
It's on West 3rd, just off La Cienega. It's across from a Sushi Roku. Not in Hollywood, but close. Near the Beverly Center, if you need a landmark.

It's small, no reservations needed. Very good food and a terrific atmosphere. All sorts of Asian dishes.

Afterward, there is a cool bar down the street a few blocks...El Carmen. Best damned margaritas there. Younger crowd.

5. Thanks!
I'm really looking forward to this trip. I'm out in the desert 15 miles from the nearest small town, and it will be so nice to go out among people again.

My husband has some potential job interviews coming up there, so we may even be living there soon.

Thanks again,
Melsky
