Poll question: Best Pixar flick thus far
Unlike "The Polar Express", the folks at Pixar seem to have found a way of using computer animation and making it work. Which was their best?

1. I haven't seen the Incredibles yet, and I love all their films
but, of the ones I have seen, I have to give the nod to Finding Nemo. Mostly because of Dory (Ellen Degeneres' character), who I really thought was hysterical :).

2. The Incredibles was great fun.
A lot more action-oriented than the others, though.

But it's still less hyperactive than a lot of today's children's fare.

I may go see the Incredibles this weekend (I don't even have a kid to drag along to make me look less weird) :).

4. One of my friends saw it last weekend...
I trust his judgement in movies... he's kinda obsessed with them. Anyway, he put it on his top ten movies of all time list, and said that it was probably the best movie he's seen in the last few years.
I'm not going to assume that it's that good, but it's gotta be pretty good to get that kind of review from him. Evidently, it's quite a bit more "grown up".

6. Toy Story 2 is an example of the rare sequel that improves on the original
The Empire Strikes Back
The Godfather Part II (barely)
Aliens
Terminator 2
X-Men 2
Spider-Man 2 (I'm a Marvel fan. What can I say...)
and Toy Story 2

10. Agreed
It had little touches that added just the right amount of pathos: Jessie's last trip with her beloved owner, the restoration artist who loved his craft, the conflict between eternal glory and eternal friendship. And, of course, Buzz Lightyear vs. the dreaded Zurg. No pathos there, but it was really cool.

9. Nemo, hands down.

Maybe it's b/c I'm a marine biologist and have a young son, who also loved it. From a biologist's perspective, for a cartoon, the visuals were simply stunning. As for the story, I think it was the most heartfelt and compelling one so far (again, though, I'm biased). When he finds Nemo's egg and says "Ill never let anything happen to you", and the egg morphs into the sun, and the music kicks up... I still get teary-eyed! I thought it should have won best picture that year.

They're all great, though. I never get tired of watching them with my son.

11. Loved The Incredibles!!!!
I didn't see Nemo on the "big screen" so I don't have a comparison base. I liked it; just didn't 'love' it.

I agree with Toy Story 2 -- it was like fine aged wine.
And I love the little jokes in the background (book titles and labels and toy boxes).
