18. same here - n/t

Don't you just hate it when someone gives you, say, oatmeal
cookies with crushed walnuts or something... and when you ask
"Does this have any nuts in it?", they blithely answer "no"...
and then ...

26. I'm sorta with y'all on that.
Except they just make my throat itchy, they don't threaten my life. Still, I've learned to prefer Chess Pie over Pecan Pie because of the reaction.

14. I can see that. By the way I have a HUGE respect for
your maritime heritage - from fishing and coasting schooners to 19th C watercraft of all kinds. Especially with that accent. Pee-can it is, full & by...and give her what she steers the best,

Meanwhile, our Confederate Pecans are plucking away on banjos on the levee and waiting for the Reconstruction Chimp carpetbaggers & scalliwags to leave.

I think its high time to make a puh-cawn pie.

16. Sadly enough, I come from a maritime heritage but can't
tell the difference between a boat rigged out for scallops or shrimp, or a barkentine or a yawl. :(

I plan on makin' a pecan pie for Thanksgiving. The holiday just isn't right without punkin pie, pecan pie, and apple crisp. *l*

17. Other: Sometimes one way...sometimes another.
I grew up in the Northeast, so my default is PE-can. Since being exposed to the Cajun thing and hearing the southern pronunciation, I sometimes say pi-kahn (especially right after hearing it that way.)
