and don't go on the attack right away. You catch more flies with honey. If it they won't relent, threaten to call the ACLU. If they don't relent, really call them.

If the prayers are being said because some other little kid and his/her friends are saying them, there's probably nothing you can do. If it's teacher led, that's illegal. Call the principal, then Superintendent, then the school board, then the ACLU.

You have to do it discreetly. When did the schools start allowing prayer again? That is pretty noncommittal, but should identify some allies. Actually, you probably wouldn't have to mention it to more than 10 parents before you hit one like me who would call the principal and let him experience a little of that wrath they like to terrorize people with.
