13. I use a capitalistic bread machine to make the dough
So for the most part the labor of the prolitariat is thrown aside with disdain. Doesn't sound very French to me.

15. bread machine - easy as can be
1 1/4 cups 80 degree water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons yeast

when the bread machine is done mixing it, take it out, form into a loaf, let rise for 40 minutes, then paint with salt/water glaze and bake for 30 minutes at 350.

Not bad for a "from memory" recitation.

on edit: for flour I just use whatever bread flour is on sale. Sometimes white, sometimes wheat. Don't use all-purpose flour tho. Won't work rightt.

20. I made French Bread last night!
No, really! Tip: if using a bread baker for the dough, be sure to turn it off after the first knead and turn it back on for a second dough cycle. The extra knead gives it that characteristic crust!
